When I dey with my boyfriend for bed, the way e behave shock me. I don even shave leg, rub cream, everything—today na today. I wear that lace pant and bra wey e don dey beg make I wear since, but e no even touch me at all.
Everywhere dark. Only the faint smell of vanilla and sweat dey mix for air. I just near im ear, blow small breeze, then whisper, “I get surprise for you. You like am?”
As I talk am, my heart dey do kikum kikum. Like drum for village festival. I fit even hear the blood dey rush for my ear. Na small breeze I blow, but for Naija weather, that kain cold for ear dey always make person shiver.
Na so im breathing come dey heavy.
I happy say my plan dey work.
I come wrap my hand for im neck, begin kiss am well-well.
I even run my finger for im beard, as per say I wan scatter everywhere for am tonight. My body dey ginger, my mind dey sing one yeye love song for inside. Na so I kiss am, hope say e go respond like wolf.
But na that time I hear my boyfriend voice from outside the door.
“All the lights dey on—why nobody dey here?”
The voice loud, e even get that kind tiredness wey people get after Lagos traffic. My body just freeze, blood rush enter my head.
If na Tobi dey outside… who I come dey hold like this?
