Chapter 8: Barroom Chaos and Destiny’s Cruelty

The bar’s private room was sticky with spilled Old Monk, the air thick with cigarette smoke and the sound of Honey Singh playing from someone’s phone.

Priya—always elegant—was now drunk and dejected, slumped over a table with empty bottles and plates of chilli chicken and peanuts. Her friends had left, unable to handle her tears.

A man tried to approach, but Priya smashed a glass. "Get lost!" Her voice shook, but her eyes were fierce. He retreated, mumbling.

But after he left, she began to feel hot all over.

She pulled at her kurti, face flushed, eyes dazed. She pressed her palms to her cheeks, but it was no use.

Realising something was wrong with the drink, she tried to leave but couldn’t stand.

Her legs were heavy, vision blurred. Her phone slipped and clattered to the floor.

Kunal, who’d been following, appeared and held her up.

He rushed to her, worry etched on his face. "Priya, what’s wrong?" he whispered, careful not to scare her.

She tried to push him away, her movements weak. "Get lost, don’t touch me."

She tried to focus on escape, but her body betrayed her.

She muttered my name under her breath—"Arjun"—as if I could hear her from miles away. That hurt most.

But Kunal persisted. "You’ve been drugged?"

He was calm, determined, like this was his moment.

"I... I can help you."

He started unbuttoning his shirt, hands trembling, eyes wild.

Kunal began undressing, face full of desperate resolve.

She turned away, disgusted but too weak to resist.

"I told you to get lost. Don’t you understand?"

Her voice was thin, a last stand.

Priya collapsed on the sofa, disgust for Kunal at its peak.

She pressed her hands to her face, tears slipping through.

Already abandoned by Arjun, now these people wanted to defile her body, so she’d never stand by his side again?

She wanted to kill these people.

A flash of anger burned in her eyes, but her body wouldn’t listen.

Kunal, eyes red, tried to undress Priya. "I’m doing this willingly. You can pretend it never happened."

His voice was desperate, pleading. He wanted her so much, he’d be her secret, her shame.

Priya’s body reacted, every cell craving Kunal’s touch. She shuddered, biting her lip, horrified at herself. Tears streamed as her body betrayed her.

She realised this desire was more than drugs—it was written into her fate.

The barrage went wild.

[Heroine, ab toh mat rok, poora filmy scene ho gaya! Ab toh kuch bhi ho sakta hai!]

[Heroine full-on wet, hero ready—jaldi shuru karo!]

[Maza aayega, hero abhi wild ho jayega...]

The words screamed in her head, louder than the bar music. She squeezed her eyes shut, wishing to disappear.
