Chapter 6: Secrets and Schemes

I got someone to follow Rajeev Mehra for a few days.
And what do you know—another secret about the old fox came out.
Even Ananya didn’t know this one.
Turns out, Rajeev Mehra kept a mistress too.
He’d rented a fancy 3BHK in a posh Pune society for her, and whenever he got time, he’d go there in secret.
And the mistress? She was also fooling around—with her gym’s personal trainer.
Wah bhai wah.
This whole circle was a mess.
Who knows how many more people are caught up in this web?
Thinking of Ananya, and realising I was just one more fool, my face went hard.
My anger at these shameless people only grew.
I collected all kinds of evidence.
With some effort, I got everyone’s contact info.
A few days later, Ananya excitedly told me she was going out of town for a master’s art exhibition.
I said I’d join her.
She refused instantly, saying it was a college trip with classmates, and it wouldn’t be convenient if I tagged along.
I smirked inside.
Classmates, my foot. Isn’t it just you and that old fox?
She didn’t know I’d seen her pack fancy lingerie in her suitcase.
The day before they left, I used a new SIM card to send a few texts to Rajeev Mehra’s wife.
“Old aunty, do you really know Rajeev? You suffocate him. Only with me does he find happiness.”
“You should thank me—I’m the one who keeps his life interesting.”
“The birthday gifts he gave you? All leftovers I didn’t want~”
Sorry, original wife.
But I’m doing you a favour. Otherwise, one day you won’t even know how you caught some disease.
Next day, Ananya left with her suitcase, all happy—only to come back two hours later, face like a thundercloud.
As she stormed in, I could almost hear the jingle of her bangles as she dropped her bag with a thud, not even glancing my way. I watched her storm in, and for the first time, I didn’t feel guilty—just cold satisfaction.
