Chapter 6: First Confrontation – Musa’s Slap

E open door.

As e open door, small harmattan breeze enter the room. The air just change—everywhere quiet, tension just dey hang for corner.

Outside, one outer fellowship member stand.

The guy stand with leg wey dey shake small, face strong but eye dey dodge. For Naija, person like that fit be errand boy wey dey find trouble.

Now wey Ikenna don collect Ifunanya body, e just see through the guy spiritual level sharp sharp.

Just one look, Ikenna sabi say na small pikin for this fellowship.

Beginner stage, level three.

No be real threat—if to say na street, e no go even fit near boss table. For spiritual matter, e still dey learn work.

Small fly.

Na wetin Ikenna conclude.

As the member see Ifunanya, im face show say e no even send her. "Senior brother dey vex, you still dey waste time? Oya, follow me quick."

The disrespect dey clear; the guy dey talk as if na him be landlord for the house. If na Naija setting, elders for don call am back sharply.

Hmm?

Ikenna just eye the member coldly, ask, "Who you be?"

The way Ikenna talk, cold just enter the air. Everybody for compound pause. Ifunanya spirit begin shake again. For Naija, na only person wey sure of im level dey talk like that.

The guy never even reply.

Ifunanya spirit just dey panic, "Senior, if we no quick, senior brother go punish us!"

For here, punishment dey carry weight pass just kneeling down. E fit mean disgrace, e fit mean dem go remove you from fellowship.

"Punish?"

Ikenna raise eyebrow.

Golden level wan punish high spiritual level?

E no enter. For Naija, na like say apprentice dey warn oga. E no dey make sense at all.

Na which kind life the main woman dey live?

Ifunanya too dey gentle, dem dey take am play ball. E no suppose be so for person wey get power.

The member shock small, then talk, "I be outer fellowship member, Musa."

The guy try form bold, but voice dey shake. Musa na popular name for North, but for here, e just be like any other errand boy.

Ikenna pause, eye Musa from head to toe. "You dey craze?" The silence heavy, then—pa.

One clean slap.

For Naija, slap dey talk sense pass long talk. The thing loud, echo for corridor. Everybody for compound just pause, dey look.

Ikenna just land am slap for face.

Musa fly commot, land for ground.

Na like say wind carry am. The slap heavy, but Ikenna hold back—if to say no be so, Musa for no wake up today.

The strength wey high spiritual level get—even if you hold back—no be small thing for beginner.

Na so e dey be; if you too dey feel yourself, person wey senior you fit remind you say road far.

No be exaggeration: high spiritual level fit finish full house of beginner with just one thought—na like say oga for motor park dey clear touts with only one shout.

For real, if to say na spirit world, Ifunanya fit use only eye drive fear enter person bone.

"So you sabi say you be outer fellowship member?"

Ikenna voice loud, e carry weight. E dey like that voice wey old Igbo woman dey use warn person wey dey mess for market.

"Know your place o. Next time you try disrespect your senior sister, e no go end for slap."

Ikenna voice carry small threat.

That kain threat dey choke person; the cold for air just deep. For Naija, dem go say, 'You no go try am again.'

Everywhere just freeze; cold catch everybody.

You fit hear pin drop. Some people wey dey look for back just shift go inside house. Nobody wan collect free slap.

Life and death na just one second matter.

Na so spiritual world dey; anything fit happen.

Musa body dey shake.

E dey roll for ground, dey try balance. For Naija, person wey collect slap like that fit begin confess all im sin for compound.

Na that time e realise say high spiritual level get real power.

For Musa eye, na like say thunder just strike am. E no go ever try this kain disrespect again.

For the whole fellowship, na only the leader and Ifunanya reach that level.

People dey always dey guess wetin these high level people fit do, but nobody ever see with im korokoro eye before.

Leader na middle high level; Ifunanya don reach late high level.

For fellowship, na two of them dey run things. If any other person try cross line, na wahala sure pass.

Nobody ever see their real power before, so members no really sabi wetin dey.

Na like say dem be legend; people just dey talk, dey guess. But now, dem don see am live.

Ikenna no even look Musa again, just waka go main hall.

E dey move with that confidence wey only real boss get. For Naija, e be like say king dey pass street, nobody fit stop am.
