He greet me first.
"Good evening sir, thanks for reaching out. How I fit help you?" See customer service.
I talk say I get family of four, want buy insurance for everybody, ask if he get advice.
He become super friendly, say family insurance depend on structure and budget, send me brochure with their best products and success stories, then apologize, say he wan enter plane, go reply me after he land.
As I read the grammar, I dey laugh. Brochure wey he forward, na 2019 logo dey the front. But no wahala—hustle na hustle.
I check his WhatsApp status—na only work things, nothing interesting like his Facebook.
All those motivational quote, "Secure your future today." No single babe, no party, nothing. E too clean.
Two hours later, he message: "Bro, I don land. Just tell me your need and budget."
Guy ready to collect customer sharp. Me sef play along, dey type slow make am no suspect.
I no reply immediately. Instead, I message my babe, ask her when her flight dey.
I just dey test water, make I see if she go tell me true.
She never tell me her flight number, always say her project dey change, now I understand—she dey fear make I no show for airport.
As I dey recall all her stories, I just weak. Every time flight dey, na so she go dodge detail. Now e clear.

She no know say I dey airport already, hide inside arrivals crowd, dey watch exit.
Arrival hall full, pepper soup smell mix with perfume, but na only her face I dey search. You see man wey don dey suspect? Na so I dress like cab man, carry cap, stand for corner, dey scan everybody.
