Me and Ifedayo dey live for foot of hill, for village end. I dey like this our compound before.

I think say the place quiet, far from people, good for raising juju.

But now, I dey regret am.

I shout tire, but nobody from the village show!

The maid see as I dey shout, roll up sleeve, give me one hot slap.

The two women, after dem get scold, come rougher.

One push dirty handkerchief for my mouth; the other tie my hand with rope.

Dem carry me like sack enter jeep, throw me for floor.

My head jam jeep corner; pain catch me, my eye nearly turn.

"Hyah~"

The jeep begin move. I curl for one corner, pretend say I faint.

"Mama Bisi, we no too overdo am so?"

One of the women use leg nudge me, as I no answer, she begin fear small.

"Na third oga first side woman be this o. If anything happen…"

Mama Bisi just hiss, look me like trash.

"Mama Titi, you dey fear too much."

The motor dey bump for every pothole. For my mind, I dey plan escape, but my body weak, juju no dey near hand.
