I adjusted my glasses, acting busy, my face blank like Monday morning.
But the guy dey restless.
He hovered, then cleared his throat twice. Other students glanced over, sensing drama.
“Amaka, I fit forgive yesterday, but you must apologise to Halima and pay her double the money.”
He said it with the entitlement of person wey never fight for anything. I raised my head slowly, my eyes cold, voice ready, heart steady.
I smiled small, ready for war. This time, nobody go use my head.
